I chose these two dresses because they remind me of Morrison's style. The book is haunting and the ruffles on the first dress represent the different layers of the story that come together. In the second picture, one can barely tell if the white dress is part of the person's body or is on them. This represents how in Beloved it is difficult to configure what is what and understand how events and ideas tie together. The yellow dress Beyonce is wearing represents a sort of epiphany and a bit of light that things may get better.
